Alcohol Laws For Connecticut

Sunday off-premises sales allowed as of May 20, 2012. Sunday on-premises sales subject to local ordinances. Beer can be purchased at grocery/convenience stores. Spirits and wine can be purchased only at liquor stores. No off-premises alcohol sales on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Open container law applies only to drivers, not passengers.

Can I drink outside of the bar?
Nope. Where do you think you are, Bourbon Street?

Are there certain hours when I can't buy alcohol?
Unfortunately, there are some restrictions here.
In the bar: 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. (Mon. thru Thurs.) 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. (Fri. thru Sat.) 11 a.m. until 1 a.m.(Sun.)
At the store: 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. (Mon. thru. Sat.) 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. (Sun.)

You can buy these delights in just a regular grocery store:
Beer
For everything else, you'll just have to go to a damn liquor store. Like an animal.
